What is the PowerEdge R730

  • The PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack‑mount server — a mid‑ to high‑end enterprise‑class rack server designed for data‑centers, virtualization, storage, database, and general enterprise workloads. 
  • It is a dual‑socket (2‑way) server, meaning it supports two CPUs.
  • The R730 is designed to be versatile and configurable — you can prioritize compute power, memory, storage density or expansion depending on your needs.
